Bama – I’m just waiting on his little ears to stand up (maybe they will maybe they won’t but they are awful perky)! He is mostly black with brindling on his feet/legs and has a small white spot on his chest. He has the most pointed nose of the group and really favors a lab mix look in my opinion. He is a speed racer when plays (quite the sprinter). He’s a lovable fellow. This week Bama became really interested in playing ball.
Born 10/20/09, all the puppies from this litter have been handled and socialized. These pups are All American mixes and their sweet, loving mother appears to have some shepherd in her. Fill out an application if you are interested in these puppies! The adoption fee is $100 and it covers puppy shots but does not cover the spay or neuter. Bama was adopted 1/25/10!
Angel – She is an adventure seeker. She is very friendly & loves to play with all the other animals (my cat and other dogs). Angel is always the first to try something new (from switching to hard food to going out the doggie door to chewing on bones) – she’s pretty much fearless. She has an extremely soft coat and loves having her belly rubbed. Angel is black with light brown legs and brown highlights on her face like she’s almost wearing makeup.

Calvin – The muscle man! He is stout and all muscle. He’s been the biggest of the bunch for several weeks now (he is always the first to the food bowl). Calvin is brindled all over, has a darker head with a little diamond brindle pattern on his nose. He loves to play, run & give puppy kisses.

Bear – He looked like a little bear cub when he was born. He’s the gentle giant of the group. Almost looks like he’s mixed with a Newfoundland. Bear is mostly black with a large white spot on his chest. He is mostly short haired but has recently started to get some longer curls mixed in (so he looks a little scraggly). He’s just a docile big teddy bear.

Dixie – Adopted 2/8/10!
She was the last to be born – almost 9 hours after Spot. Dixie was the “runt” of the litter, but she caught up to the others very quickly and weighed as much as her sisters within the first week. She is all black and has some brindle highlights on her feet. She is the shyest of the bunch and very, very loving. Dixie loves cats. She’s quite calm but can really sprint when she gets in the playing mood outside. She also like a good game of tug-a-war with her siblings.

Spot – The first born! He has just the most adorable markings – looks almost like a mini St. Bernard to me. Spot is quite the charmer and so easy to fall in love with. He is definitely a snuggler and loves his nap time. He loves to chew toys and bones.

Tessa, 2 year old black tri female, HW negative, UTD on shots, microchipped, crate trained, housebroken. Tessa was found as a stray near Joplin, MO so we don’t know anything about her past but we are sure it would be quite interesting if she could tell us. You see both of Tessa’s ears have been removed – the right one has been surgically removed just as they do the poor fighting dogs and 2/3 of her left ear is gone – also looks like it was surgically removed. She has no other scars around her face to indicate it was some kind of freak accident or injury so she will keep the mystery to herself. No matter what the past was like for Tessa, it has not dampened her sunny disposition or love of life. She is a very sweet girl who is loving and obedient and loves to play with other dogs and is good around children 3 years old and up. We do not know how she is with cats, but does love to herd so we think it better to have her live in a catless home. Tessa was adopted 12/20/09!
Winston, 4 year old blue merle male aussie/border collie mix, UTD on shots, HW & parasite negative, microchipped, crate trained. Winston was turned in by hoarders who realized that they could no longer afford to feed him and his littermates. Although they professed their love for their dogs and had them since birth, they never bothered to name any of them and the dogs lived in horrid conditions outside. They were filthy, matted and full of fleas and ticks and had ear infections. In spite of living in this squalor, Winston is a friendly, lovable boy that is full of life. He likes everyone he sees and plays nicely with other dogs. He has learned house manners in just a few days which we feel is pretty extraordinary for a dog that never saw the inside of a house before. Winston has learned to walk on leash and looks forward to his daily walks with his foster dad. This beautiful boy is truly a diamond in the rough. Winston was adopted 12/21/09!
The above dogs are listed as a courtesy to other rescues, shelters, and private individuals looking to place a dog. Any adoption resulting from this listing is a matter solely between the lister and potential adopter.

We just got word that thankfully all the pups have been adopted!
Pipkin was adopted 2/10/10!
Pipkin is an energetic, comedic 2 year old mix. Rescued from a shelter, he was a mess – with heartworms, a very infected eye and balding from ringworm. Today Pipkin has a clean bill of health and is shaping up to be pretty adorable. Unfortunately, the eye could not be saved but Pipkin doesn’t miss a beat (just little depth perception). He loves to run around with his pals at the dog park, fetching balls and swimming in the baby pool. He’s good with the cats in his foster home. Pipkin would do best in a home with a dog buddy to play with or an owner to run or bike with. He is also an avid fence jumper so a yard with a taller fence is a must. He’s house trained, crate trained and UTD on shots. Check out this great, lovable, goofball that will win anyone’s heart.
