Sissi
This gorgeous 5 year blue merle female with one blue eye, is looking for a home to call her own. She lost her first home to a move and her second because her elderly dad had to go into nursing care. She is UTD on shots, house trained, walks wonderfully on the leash and only took a day to learn to go in her crate, something she’d not done before. Though she gets along OK with other dogs, Sissi hasn’t learned to play like other dogs. The playful ones bring out her herding instinct and she feels the need to put them back in place. So she would do best in a home where she is the only dog or her dog companion is more mellow. Cats are OK too if they don’t run, if they do she’s ready for the chase. Her favorite things to do are snuggle with people and eat. Sissi loves car rides and is your typical velcro aussie that would do great as member of a family. The more attention the better!
Frankie, 3 to 4 year old neutered blue merle male, 2 blue eyes, UTD on shots, HW negative, immaculate house manners, crate trained. Frankie is a very fun dog who acts more like a one year old – he is self confident and “full of himself”. He absolutely loves to lie on his back and have his belly rubbed – for hours if you are willing. He loves to play fetch with a ball and is very good about bringing it back to you. He also likes all kinds of toys but is not destructive with them. Frankie is very obedient and wants to please – he knows sit and loves to go on walks. He walks politely on leash and is a very social dog. The only fault we can find with him is that he can play a little rough with other dogs – not aggressively but he can be annoying at times – like a teenager. Frankie is probably too active for toddlers, but he is fine with older children.

Moxie was adopted 3/24/10!
Moxie is a 5 week old red bi, possibly a merle. Well, with a name like Moxie….what do you think her personality is like? She is a mover and a shaker and loves playing and running around with her littermates. Can’t you just see her little tail wagging! Moxie will make a wonderful addition to your family!
Minnie is a 5 week old red bi, possibly a merle. She is the shy one of the litter, but after a bit she can be seen zipping around with her siblings, playing “catch me if you can”! Next week Minnie is going to the vet to have her vision checked. We just have some reservations about her sight and are wondering if she may have limited vision. She is still cute as a button, but we are putting her on hold until we have more information!
Oliver has spent his whole life living in the yard of a stupid breeder who doesn’t believe in vets and says she takes good care of her dogs and loves them. I don’t know about you, but when I love something I take care of it. Oliver’s stupid owner never cared for him and did nothing for him except feed him and breed him – as a matter of fact when she wanted to go on vacation she would throw a 20 lb bag of kibble onto the ground and fill a bucket with water and leave for a week, sometimes longer. Oliver had never been out of that yard, in a house nor in a car until rescue picked him up and promised him a better life. Oliver of course turned up positive for heartworms and when we called the stupid owner to alert her so she could check her other dogs, she called us liars and said he couldn’t have heartworms because he was running and playing with the ball the day we picked him up – have I used up my quota of “stupids” yet??
Oliver’s foster parents think he is a miracle – after only 48 hours Oliver was seeking them out for affection and even went on a walk with them and their dogs. Don’t get me wrong, this beautiful boy still needs some work to build up his confidence, but the progress he is making tells us what a truly amazing boy he is.
Oliver is on the small size – about 40 lbs and the size of a normal female – you know how great things come in small packages! Oliver needs to complete his heartworm treatment so he may not be available until the end of April or mid May unless you would be willing to help him recover which would be easy – just keeping him on crate rest for a mere 30 days. Are you that special person for this extra-ordinary Aussie??

Skipper was adopted 4/16/10!
Skipper, 1 year old blue merle aussie mix with a beautiful tail – HW negative, neutered, UTD on shots, housebroken, small – only 26 lbs. Skipper was dumped at a high kill shelter because his owners were having a baby – don’t know how all the other generations of women ever handled having a baby and a dog at the same time but evidently these people don’t know how to multi-task!! They gave very little information on him and failed to mention that he is deaf. Skipper is a typical, sweet boy & is probably the result of two merles being bred since he also has small eyes with limited sight in one. He doesn’t let either of his handicaps slow him down and loves everyone and especially loves other dogs. Skipper’s coat is thick and beautiful and he was good for his bath. Because Skipper is deaf, he will need to be placed in a home with a secure fence and preferably with another dog who can be his “ears” and help him learn the ropes of his new home.
