Forever Loved
You had found me Rusty, a Red Merle, some 8 plus years ago.
He passed away a year ago, July 13th.
I apologize for the delay in contacting you.
It’s still very hard.
I want to thank you for putting us together. He was the most amazing animal.
He made converts out of dog-doubters. Since I was in college at the time, he was the first dog to many of my friends, including my now-fiance’. A truly aristocratic ambassador of the canine species.
Thank you again.
Andy
I had to let our beautiful boy go to the Rainbow Bridge to wait for us today. He developed a lump between his eyes a couple weeks ago. We tried antibiotics, hoping it was a bone infection, but 9 days later, and larger, he went in for xrays. When the vet xrayed and saw abnormality, she opened it. There was no bone under the lump – cancer was eating it away, she said the hole was as big around as her finger. The kindest thing to do was to just let him continue to fall asleep…
Since his journey to me was so scripted (me having to put my other deaf dog down and Syd showing up on the webpage the same day), keep your heart open for his return through you guys… he might do this trip again in a different body because I do think he enjoyed this life completely! I hope so anyway… I was nowhere near ready to have him leave yet….
Say a prayer for him to find us when it is our time, and hug your babies hard.
Missing him more than I can describe.
Rebecca
Dear Kay,
I am writing this to let you know that I had put Bugsy down this past week. Attached is a photo taken this past summer. He had contracted lymphoma about 4 years ago and it had gone into remission. This past March he was diagnosed with bone cancer and given 4 months to live. In the true spirit of the tough dog he was, he lived for an extra 6 months more than that. I wanted to thank you for allowing me to adopt him in 2001. I still remember that day at Queeny Park when you introduced us. He became my best friend and my family and other friends always commented on his intelligent look and the look of love he always gave me. My house seems a little empty now but after a little time I will replace him with another but he could never be replaced.
Again thank you so much.
John
