We had my daughter’s family and my step-son and family, both with dogs, for Christmas. Butchie is like Cookie’s big brother. She follows him around. Best of friends. Bandit is my daughter’s rescue(New York) Had to muzzle Cookie for the first night, after that she had a big time playing with her. She is still very timid around strangers. My husband came home for 2 weeks at Thanksgiving and 2 weeks at Christmas. Cookie has finally accepted him enough to let him take her potty without me along. She has come a long way from the frightened little girl who wouldn’t wag her tail. Every time we go for a walk, someone will ask “what kind of dog is she ?”, because she is so beautiful. I love her lots and she is devoted to me, never letting me out of sight. She gets along well with the kitties, only chasing them sometimes. Balls are her favorite toys, especially the ones that squeak. Can catch them in the air 95% of times thrown. I’ve been feeding Natural Balance and she seems to like it. Have added a probiotic to her feed. Her coat is very soft and glossy. Quite a striking young dog.
Thanks again for giving me the oppourtunity to share my home with her.

Hey Kay, Becky and family,
Just wanted to check in and offer an update on Sheba, now named Sydney
(after the Australian city). We are approaching a week together and
things could not be going any smoother. Her sutures look great and we
have started taking walks at the park–no running for another week, I
remember!
I had to leave her home alone for the first time on Friday for an 8
hour evening shift at work. I didn’t restrict her to a room or crate
her or anything, just to see how she would do. I scattered her toys
around and gave her a big bone, hoping it would curb any chewing on
household items. When I returned home around midnight, she was sound
asleep on her bed–no pee or poo in the house, nothing chewed up or
destroyed, nothing! I could not believe it! She is amazing!
I have attached a few photos–I especially like the one of Sydney with
Talia, who has just fallen head over heels for her! Talia is a recluse
who never pays any dogs attention, but something about Sydney has just
stolen her heart. It’s so funny to watch!
Anyway, thank you again for bringing this puppy into my life. If I
was adored her any greater, I think my heart would just explode!
Cheers and best wishes,
Kika
I just wanted to let you know that we are still very happy to have found Buddy (AKA Buzz). Everyone thinks he’s great and no one can believe we’ve only had him 4 months. We’re still walking him at least 4 times per day, but he’s learned to use our skyline and loves to hang out in the back yard with the neighbor cat. He’s really come along nicely and has quite a personality. He’ll often trot up to us with a toy in his mouth and we’ll play with it for a while and suddenly he’ll run in to the other room, grab a different toy and return to play some more with the new toy. He sometimes rolls on to his back, holds the toy in his mouth with his front paws, kicks wildly and rolls around like a crazy dog. It’s pretty funny.
He’s a great big little guy. Very huggable and sweet. He’s always at our feet (never in the way) and he has never pottied in the house. He’s agreeable when we have to do a tick removal, get him groomed, or anything else. He also loves to learn. When we work with him to practice commands, he just gets so excited he runs around the house like he can’t contain his enthusiasm. He really makes us laugh! Once in a while, he’ll nonchalantly walk past us with a sock in his mouth (like maybe we won’t notice), but he’s never chewed anything up or done anything he shouldn’t. We just love him and can’t believe we had the luck to find him out of all the dogs waiting for a home.

A little over two years ago, we adopted Dolly a sweet little black/white mini aussie. She is my baby!
In the beginning, Dolly had submissive peeing issues when you reached down for her and would always go hide when anyone came to the house to visit. With some patience and Foster, our older aussie, teaching her how to be a fun loving dog she is now a real sweetheart. She has come such a long way! Sunday, several of our friends came over with their dogs to head down to the Soulard Dog parade. In our house we had Dolly, my other Aussie Foster, Fred an Aussie from St. Charles, two other aussies visiting from Kirkwood, a sweet boxer named Peyton, a bichon named Grace and all their people. Dolly stayed downstairs right in the middle of all the dogs and people. She played and kissed and was a great little hostess. She and Foster put on their mardi gras regalia and we all headed out. Here are a couple of pictures–just of Foster and Dolly for now but I thought you might want to see. Dolly is very, very happy and very much loved–as she lays here beside me on the bed snoozing away. What a life!
Thanks…Mary Cox and Bob Grace
My name is Bentley and I love my new family, and they love me back a bunch. I like to sit next to my mom while she grades papers. She does this a lot but I don’t bother her because I will get to play frisbee later when my dad gets home. That is my favorite thing to do in the whole world. See my Youtube movie on frisbee at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nk9cVzUpfSc.
On the weekends we get to go to the country where there are chickens, but they are boring. They just follow me around.
Aussie Rescue of St Louis is the best!! Thank you, thank you, thank you from Bentley’s family.
Nikki has come a long way. Today she is a happy, playful and a very affectionate girl and we love her dearly. Our Nikki is one of the best things we have ever added to our family. There were times when she first arrived that I thought she would never be a “normal” dog. We have two other aussies that are outgoing and Nikki especially connected to our male dog Jake. I do think they helped her overcome some of her fears and anxieties. Now when the doorbell rings or someone comes over we are not rushing for paper towels and rug cleaner.
