God bless you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the work you have done to help the dogs you so love. But most of all thank you for allowing me to save, foster and rehome Aussies in the Kansas City area at a time when all we had was ARPH. I’m not even sure how many I fostered. It is going to be one of my projects now that I, too, am no longer working. I want to put together a scrapbook of the dogs and cats I have fostered. I know that one dog was returned that Kristine fostered but I don’t think any of mine were returned. I was very lucky to find such loving homes and meet some incredible people. I’m sorry things turned out the way they did. One of the fallouts of the craziness that goes along with running a rescue I guess. I hope you enjoy your “retirement” and get to take that long overdue vacation with Rick.

One last thing. Thank you for my Geo. I love this dog with all my being. He is one special dog. Cruiser is still with us. She just started her 2nd round of chemo, having tolerated the first magnificently. However, I think it will have been in vain. We just didn’t discover the cancer in time. I’m worried about how much Geo will miss his sister.

Hi Kay:
I don’t know what to say. It has been my pleasure working with you. I feel that I haven’t done enough for you. I was wondering what was happening when you didn’t call to give me a foster to play with after we got Keeper (Yup, we kept her name since she is such a keeper…). Ranger is looking better and better everyday since we got Keeper. She really keeps him on his toes. She actually got him to stand on his hind legs by himself. I almost cried. He has come a long way for such a bad injury.

I hope all works out well and if you need anything please let me know. I will still be wanting that red dog, since My Mikie left me for the bridge.

Sabrina is our sweet lovable girl, who is the smartest, funniest, energetic dog ever. She made us so happy! The cats love her as do everyone that meets her. She loves her morning walks, and loves to go on car rides. She learns new ‘tricks’ within a short period of time, and we plan to get her into Westin Kennels Medley training course as a prerequisite to the agility training that I am she is well suited for. Sabrina loves to spin in circles, and run to her heart’s content. I have been working with her on obedience and she walks well, staying close to me, off-leash. Thanks Kay for the opportunity to adopt Miss Sabrina “Chili Bean”!

We want to thank you so much for giving us Frankie a year and a half ago,he has been such an amszing blessing in our lives. We can never thank you enough and all the volunteers for all you have done to save so many Aussie’s. You are all in our prayers! We will also be sending a donation off today.

I hope all is well. “Kirby”, now Eli James, named after Jesse James’ cousin, was adopted from you for my 52nd birthday 2 years ago. He brings a smile to my family everyday. On Sept. 2nd we lost our 11 yr old Aussie we rescued in Eureka Springs, AR. and planned on adopting again when the time is right. So hopefully not accepting Aussies at this time is temporary. If I could I would adopt every one but I can’t. Even so, I pull up your website everyday and wish. It would be such a misfortune not be able to offer the hope of adoption to such beautiful creatures that give love unconditionally.
