Tex was adopted 10/18/10!
Tex, black tri male – probably between 10 and 12 years old, came in neutered, UTD on shots, HW negative.  This amazing old soul must have been dumped because he is old. There is no way he would EVER have left his home.  He never leaves his foster family’s side so the possibility of him getting “lost” is out of the question.  Tex was picked up by animal control as a “stray” in a very rural area.  He is totally devoted and healthy except for some severe arthritis.  His arthritis is improving now that he is on some medicine to help him and a good diet.  His adoption fee will be greatly reduced and we will help with the cost of his drugs.  Tex’s foster mom wrote this description on him – “He is great, Perfect boy.  House trained, doesnt need a crate, polite manners.  Wonderful with the kids, likes everyone!  Loves car rides… great on a leash (Kaleigh walks him…)  He is Perfect…. “  Kaleigh is 5 years old by the way.  Tex allows Kaleigh’s year old sister to crawl on him and use him as a pillow when she takes a nap.  If you have a soft spot for the seniors and want to know the joy of having such a grateful dog to pamper – Tex is the one for you!

    Hi there,

We recently lost our elderly pup, Maxine, and are beginning the process of finding a new addition to our family and a companion for our 9yo rescued Shiba Inu, Bodhi. How do we find out more about Tex or perhaps even get to meet him?
