I had to let our beautiful boy go to the Rainbow Bridge to wait for us today. He developed a lump between his eyes a couple weeks ago. We tried antibiotics, hoping it was a bone infection, but 9 days later, and larger, he went in for xrays. When the vet xrayed and saw abnormality, she opened it. There was no bone under the lump – cancer was eating it away, she said the hole was as big around as her finger. The kindest thing to do was to just let him continue to fall asleep…
Since his journey to me was so scripted (me having to put my other deaf dog down and Syd showing up on the webpage the same day), keep your heart open for his return through you guys… he might do this trip again in a different body because I do think he enjoyed this life completely! I hope so anyway… I was nowhere near ready to have him leave yet….
Say a prayer for him to find us when it is our time, and hug your babies hard.
Missing him more than I can describe.
Rebecca

Rebecca, I’m so sorry for your loss. He was beautiful!
Sydney was a special boy and will be sorely missed ;(
I can still see him jumping up to catch raindrops
Sleep well, Sydney, and go play with Woofie and the others till we see you all again.
